The City in Deadlock.

The City in Deadlock._e0036628_821150.jpg

Due to the transit strike, many of our commuting students are finding it very difficult, if not impossible, to get here for exams.

STUDENTS LIVING IN THE RESIDENCE HALLS
We are asking our students in NYU School of Law residence halls to help out by offering overnight space in your apartment to commuter students. Sign up sheets are available at the front desks of Mercer Residence and D'Agostino Hall. Commuter students will be contacting you directly to make arrangements. Please make sure to be in your room at the time your guest is expected to arrive. The Department of Residence Services will provide cots and mattresses until the supply runs out; please go to your hall office to reserve a cot/mattress.

COMMUTER STUDENTS LOOKING FOR OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION
We ask commuting students who need a place to stay to check the residence hall lists at the Front Desks of Mercer Residence and D'Agostino Hall or, if unable to make it into the city at this point, email us. Our office will put the commuter student and residence hall host in direct contact with one another to make necessary arrangements.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
* Commuter students should plan on providing their own linens and/or sleeping bags
* Emails sent to l[]@nyu.edu will be monitored between 9 AM-5 PM. Any email sent after 5 PM runs the risk of not being responded to until the next business day. If you know you need a space in a residence hall, please plan accordingly.
* There is no guarantee that all commuter students needing overnight space in the residence halls will be accommodated. The supply of available space depends solely upon the number of residence hall students who are willing to offer space.

Our thanks to all for helping each other out during the strike.
